Bachelorette Weekend

Life has been so crazy. I started my new job last week which has totally consumed me and been completely overwhelming. I just need to get into a routine and then I will feel a bit more relaxed, but in the meantime, I’m really looking forward to a special weekend coming up.

Our wedding day is less than 6 months away (yikes!) but what’s even closer, is my bachelorette party in November and I thought I’d share where I’m going!!

My maid of honor/bridesmaids are spread thin throughout the country, so I knew it would be tricky to have us all meet in the same place. I have 1 in San Diego, 1 in Salt Lake City, 1 in Tampa, 1 in Boston, and 1 here in New Hampshire with me. I also have some other friends joining who live far away as well. Because we would all need to jump on a plane anyways, my sister started brainstorming some ideas with me. I took a look on WeddingWire to see where some popular places were for destination bachelorettes. Never did I think I would be one of those girls to have an extravagant bachelorette party. I’m usually in bed by 9pm, hate staying up late, not a huge drinker, and would much rather stay in and watch reality TV than be out all night at a party. Immediately, Vegas was out of the question for me (like I said, I am usually in bed by 9pm). I also knew I didn’t want to stay too close to the Northeast since November can get pretty cold.

My sister threw out some ideas and soon enough, a location and date were set. I am so excited to share that my best friends and I are off to…. NASHVILLE for my bachelorette, and I couldn’t be happier!

Where we are staying:

My sister booked an Airbnb for us right near the city. It’s an adorable house that will comfortably host all of us.

Before the trip:

I HAVE to buy some cowboy boots before we go. I have my eyes on a few pairs and rounded up my favorites below.

Also, this is about to sound incredibly “millenial” of me (as one of my ‘older’ friends would say), but I’m DEFINITELY making us a snapchat filter on Wedding Wire before we go. I was briefly browsing their designs and am obsessed with all the bachelorette filters.

What we are doing:

The truth is we have no set plans just yet (at least that I know of!). I’d love to visit some of the touristy locations like the Grand Ole Opry and Country Music Hall of Fame. I also really want to do one of those trolley pedal taverns because they look incredibly fun every time I’ve seen them on TV! Of course we will visit as many country bars as possible too. If you have any suggestions, please send them my way! I’d love your recommendations.

I can’t wait to share my trip on the blog when we get back. In the meantime, please reach out to me with any recommendations you have for our Nashville trip. We are there for 3 nights, so I am hoping to squeeze in as much as possible (especially since none of us have ever been). See ya back on the blog next week!

Special thanks to WeddingWire for sponsoring today’s post. As always, all opinions are my own.
