Brunch & Bubbly

Hi friends! Yikes it’s been a while. Between work, the holidays, wedding planning – it’s been quite a hectic time, but I wanted to take a few moments to share my incredible bridal shower.  About a month ago, my family and friends threw me my shower and my expectations were completely exceeded. While I knew the date and location, I wasn’t aware of much else so it was a surprise when I walked in and saw who was there and what everything looked like.

My sister, mom, stepmom, and future mother-in-law did most of the planning. My 5 bridesmaids live all throughout the country, so it was easiest for those close to home to help plan. I definitely shared with my sister some “do’s and don’ts” for my shower, but let her take most of the control (which was so hard to do for me!). I had read a few articles on WeddingWire beforehand that I shared with my sister and found them helpful when beginning the initial planning. In all, the day completely blew me away and it was more than I had hoped for.

One of my favorite parts of the whole day was the decor. Everything was blush, navy or gold and tied together so well. There was a donut wall (I mean..come on), beautiful flower displays, adorable quotes, dozens of pictures, and elegant accents throughout the room. It was beautiful.

Kyle and I registered at Target and got so many wonderful things on our list. We received the prettiest kitchenware, family recipes, honeymoon cash, and home decor. I couldn’t wait to get home and put everything in it’s place.

Another favorite part of the day was that my friends and family hired a photographer to capture the day’s moments. In my other post, this was a “must have” at my shower and I’m so glad Emily was there! It was nice not to carry my phone around all afternoon and worry about making sure to take enough photos. Make sure to check her out on instagram!

It was such a special day and I am so grateful for all those who helped put it together and make it so memorable. 53 days and counting til the big day…

Special thanks to Emily Elizabeth Photography and WeddingWire for sponsoring today’s post!
