White After Labor Day?

You know that unstated “rule” we all think we have to follow – no white after labor day? My question is.. why! I have never understood it. Living in New England, you have to find subtle ways to transition into new seasons — because one day it will be 42 degrees and cloudy and the following afternoon it will be 75 degrees and sunny.

With that in mind, I love to wear white on white and mix in some long sleeves and sometimes even booties to still make it “fall appropriate”. As we transition into pumpkin coffees and fall foliage, I still love to wear my white pants as long as possible so they aren’t being packed away just yet!

On another note, this long sleeve shirt is the softest top I own. I bought it during the Nordstrom Sale in July and ordered it in olive green as well (post on that coming soon!). It also pairs well with leggings because it’s super long in the back. Nordstrom sold out quickly of this one but I’ve linked a similar striped shirt below.

My first full week of blogging is underway and I admit it has been more time consuming than anticipated. However I am learning new things every day and gaining a larger audience with each new post. I hope everyone had a wonderful Monday. Stay tuned for more posts later this week!
